jervis bay
with deep 6 diving jervis bay
above and below the surface...

jervis bay is located 200kms south of sydney, nsw, australia - a leisurely two and a half hour drive.

canberra scuba divers can easily get to the dive location as jervis bay marine park is 260kms north east, a simple three and a half hour drive.
huskisson, the hub of jervis bay, is a small township on the edge of the bay and the gateway to most diving, snorkelling and water-based activities.
jervis bay offers some of the most diversified scuba diving along the australian east coast, now a marine park; it is regarded by many as the southern alternative to the great barrier reef.
the surrounding waters and parkland of jervis bay are all part of the jervis bay marine and booderee national parks' and are home to a wide diversity of temperate water marine life (with a few visiting tropical species every now and again!).
if you have any queries please find our contact details through the link below.
we have over 30 dive sites both inside and outside the bay, which can be visited at different times of the year. due to the unique geography of the bay, diving is possible all year round, even when conditions aren't always the best.

there is always somewhere
protected to dive

jervis bay has something for every diver … reefs, drop-offs, caves, crevices, archways and gutters. the average depth of our dive sites is 20 metres; most are multi-level with rocky-reef topography. some sites have excellent walls, swim-throughs and bubble caves and can drop off to 50 metres.
soft corals and sponge gardens are part of the beauty, alongside large schooling fish, weedy sea dragons, red Indian fish, a variety of sharks (the docile kind!) plus many other vertebrates and invertebrates.

we can satisfy any level of diver in
jervis bay

winter diving in jervis bay is superb. the westerly winds allow our boats to visit many of the sites outside of the bay, which are difficult to dive during the summer months.

clean water upwelling from the continental shelf means the average visibility is at least 30 metres in winter

the weedy sea dragon is often seen in jervis bay. this stunningly beautiful creature is hard to spot and is unique to australia's southern coastline.
one of our favourite winter dives is the seal colony south of st georges headland. over 50 australian fur seals migrate every year to this area, and stay between june and november.

The seals should certainly not be missed

we have two resident pods of bottlenose dolphins and they are often sighted on the trips to and from dive sites. humpback whales and southern wright whales frequent the bay during their migratory periods; may to June and September to October.

diving jervis bay is an excellent opportunity to observe whales at play

although jervis bay is a mecca for scuba divers all year round, there is also a range of other activities for the non-divers of the family to get involved in.
with two resident pods of dolphins in the Bay, there is plenty of opportunity to take a
dolphin-explorer cruise.
whale watching is also a popular activity, available during the migratory periods throughout the year.
